Offices are where most people spend more than a third of their day; some may even spend more time at the office than at home. Therefore, offices require careful attention and importance, as many aspects directly impact our health. Equally important is creating an attractive work environment to motivate employees and encourage them to work enthusiastically. Cleanliness is also crucial, as it significantly affects employees' health, well-being, and morale. How do cleanliness and aesthetics impact the office?
1. Impact on the feelings of employees and visitors/business contacts: No one likes a dirty place. A clean place creates a feeling of freshness and comfort, and also increases confidence in those who see it. Because if even the place isn't well-maintained, who will have confidence that we can produce quality work for them? 2. Impact on health and hygiene: This directly affects employees. An unclean office has a higher chance of accumulating germs and bacteria, which can easily make those who are in it sick, resulting in decreased work efficiency.

But the bigger problem is the increased risk of falls . Globally, falls are the second leading cause of death from accidental injuries, with approximately 646,000 deaths annually. In Thailand, approximately 1,600 people die each year from falls, second only to road accidents, with one-third of those deaths occurring among the elderly aged 60 and above. The National Institute of Emergency Medical Services (NIEMS) revealed that in the three years from 2016 to 2019 (two quarters), 141,895 elderly people were injured due to falls, an increase of 29.5% from 2016. Although the number of falls increases with age, it means everyone is at risk of falling.

For businesses such as office buildings, hotels, and factories, these problems can become major issues and have negative consequences, both in terms of corporate image and potential lawsuits if accidents occur. Therefore, reducing, avoiding, or preventing the causes is essential and should not be overlooked. One solution is to use absorbent mats placed in walkways or areas where water splashes, such as building entrances, sinks, and water coolers, to contain water and prevent it from flowing onto the floor. This reduces the frequency of wiping. The mats should also have both dust-trapping and anti-slip properties to help remove dust from shoes and reduce the risk of slips and falls. Water-Horse (absorbent, dust-trapping, anti-slip mat) is made from PP+PET fibers, has quick-drying properties, a structure that traps water, and a non-slip rubber backing for good grip. It also has dust-removing properties to help clean shoe soles.
